The onboard VRMs feature 10+1 DrMOS power stages that combine high-side and low-side MOSFETs and drivers into a single package, delivering the power and efficiency that 13th & 12th Gen Intel Core processors demand. My question is, since only the CPU & RAM POST light red on the mobo, is the most likely reason the out of date BIOS? And if the CPU isn't recognized, does that mean that the RAM isn't recognized as well, or is the red RAM light possibly due to the 3600 MHz frequency? I read somewhere that the CPU's support 3200 MHz by default and that you had to tweak some settings to get it to work. I think BIOS version 3.0 added support for the new AMD processors. I got the motherboard in August and I waited all the way until the new 5000-series processor release to get an AMD processor. The motherboard's BIOS version is 2.3 which doesn't support Ryzen 5000-series processors. I should note that this issue only appeared once I installed my new GPU, even though I don't know how that would affect the CPU light. I have also re-set the ram, unplugged/re-plugged both the CPU 8-pin and mobo 24-pin, and reset the CMOS a couple times all to no avail. I have re-applied TIM to the CPU and re-set it. It also doesn't run into any problems once booted (everything detected, no crashes, games run etc.). I always fix it by hitting the restart button on my case once and it then proceeds to boot normally. Whenever I cold boot my PC, the mobo displays a solid red CPU light and doesn't post (the fans are spinning and lights are on). So I'm running into a bit of a weird issue. ![]()
